🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃 HAPPPPPY HALLOWEEN!!! • • • Throw back to last years festivities when I wasn’t sick 🤒 the mighty Opihr Gin with great spicy notes!! Definitely a super aromatic gin! Last year I paired it with chilli 🌶 and tonic!! But throughout the year I’ve been drinking it with aromatic tonic and a massive wedge of orange 🍊 very yum indeed!! One to be sampled!!! They have brought out their first “Bartender Series” which is a great concept created by Shortcross who have promised to bring to life global collaborations 🤩🤩 their very first adventure is with Alan Glynn from 37 Dawson Street located in the fair city of Dublin! He was the winner of Shortcross’s 2017 Signature Serve. I am so excited to experiment with this limited edition gin!! It’s ingredients include apples, blackberries & pears 🍐 🍎 (all handpicked from their walled garden)!! 🍂 🍁 Autumn is Here 🍂 Alpine Gin anyone??? 🌲🌲🌲🌲 • Hailing from deep in the Rocky Mountains of Canada this Gin was created! 🇨🇦🇨🇦 Distilled with fresh glacier water ⛰ 💧 and a core ingredient of hand picked Canadian Spruce Tips, which makes it stand out and true to its home surroundings! 🤩 This is one for die heart gin lovers, strong juniper aroma and taste...good earthy tones coming from the pine, with a nice citrus taste coming through!! Really smooth juniper forward Gin 😍🤩 I matched this with hibiscus tonic 🌺 that nice subtle bitter sweetness from the tonic brings out the citrus of the gin! 🔮 Welcome to the Twilight Zone 🔮 ✨HENDRICKS ORBIUM ✨ • • • • With the base of original Hendrick’s, Orbium takes the drink we all know and love to the next level.. Orbium is a mystical infusion of flavours! Taking tastes that we would normally associate with other classic gin libations... Orbium uses quinine which is found in our all too familiar G&T and Wormwood which is found in vermouth used for our martini cocktails 🍸 Then the final touch of Blue Lotus Blossom balances the flavour... leaving a complex Gin, starting floral & transforming into an enticing bitter sensation!! 🍸👌 I decided to match this with one of Schweppe’s new tonics, salted lemon 🍋 which they recommend to have with an earthy gin.. I think the salty zest from the tonic matches perfectly with the earthy flavour that stems from the wormwood and brings out the citrus of the gin, I balanced it off with the refreshing cucumber (wouldn’t be a Hendrick’s without its signature garnish) 🥒👌😍 and topped off with a rose 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 For the garnish art I took inspiration from an instagrammer I am obsessed with @onedrinkaday ... his garnish ideas are amazing and his cocktails 🍹 🤤 definitely go and have a nosey at his page you could be on it for hours!!!!! This gin will not be everyone’s cup of tea and Hendrick’s have even declared that themselves!!
